Village of Weyerhaeuser

Weyerhaeuser, situated beneath the sunny slopes of the Blue Hills, is a cozy little village that boasts of being the “Biggest Small Town in the State.”  It is located on U.S. Highway 8 and County F in Western Rusk County.

Weyerhaeuser is the site of the annual Booster Days celebration, sponsored by the Weyerhaeuser Community Club, held during Labor Day weekend. It is like a family reunion and homecoming combined. Some of the festivities include a parade, church dinner, barbecued chicken, concession stands, rides, outdoor street dances, and fireworks.

Weyerhaeuser is also proud of its wonderful Community Park, complete with tennis courts, ball field and large pavilion. The people of the village strongly support the community’s churches and businesses. It is economical and pleasant place to live and raise a family. Continuous improvements in streets and parks, and employment within commuting distance, ensure a good future for those who want to live in a small, quiet and friendly town.
